Styrian provincial councillor Christian Buchmann stopps at Frigopol

During his trip through the county of Deutschlandsberg, provincial councillor Buchmann took a stop at Frigopol to see his motto "innovation in series" coming alive. Accompanied by the head of the local chamber of commerce Margareta Deix, member of the Styrian parliament Manfred Kainz, chairman of the L601 initiative Gunther Riedlsperger, councillor of the local chamber of commerce Herbert Naderer and SFG authorized officer Erich Steiner, Buchmann visited the production and administrative site of Frigopol in Frauental. Highly impressed by the ample innovation and manifold product portfolio of the middle-sized company, the group came to discuss the necessary economic impulses in order to support the economic drive in the county of Deutschlandsberg. "We truly trust the economic representatives of the Styrian economy. However, we have also experienced the problems when recruiting local staff with technical working experiences", says co-owner Rinner to Buchmann. Frigopol MD Herunter agrees: "There is need for action if local enterprises want to exist on the international market!" Buchmann, who is not only responsible for the economy department, but also takes care of the departments of innovation and finance in Styria, was also able to take a look at the R & D project, which has been handed in at the Austrian Förderungsgesellschaft (FFG, management of funds for R & D projects) by Frigopol. Buchman emphasized the importance of supporting ideas and achievements and was inspired by the presented project.

Girls Day 22.04.2010

Girls, who would like to gain some hands-on-experiences within non-typical girls' jobs, are offered the possibility to spend half a day at a company instead in school in order to see how such a job could look like.

Magdalena Gabriel and Lilith Kraxner, pupils of the HS Stainz, took the chance to gain some experience within the technical workforce. The girls got a first insight into our production processes and were absolutely enthusiastic - "how different this is to the everyday school life"! Lilith and Magdalena highly appreciated the chance to talk to women at Frigopol to see how work life could like within a technical business.
